‘Financiering Europese energietransitie moet anders’
2 februari 2017 – Het Climate Action Network Europe kwam gisteren bij zijn reactie op het EU-rapport over de voortang van de energietransitie ook met een plan voor een andere financiering van de Europese energietransitie. ‘Stop onmiddellijk met alle subsidies voor fossiel en geef meer subsidie aan de ontwikkeling van duurzame energie.’

‘(…) Wendel Trio, Director of CAN Europe: “Today’s report makes it clear that in order to build the Energy Union the EU needs to stop giving any kind of financial support to fossil fuels and direct funding towards clean energy. The new EU post-2020 budget must prioritize energy efficiency and renewables and withdraw from any funding that promotes production and consumption of fossil fuels”.
