Minor Economics and Policy

Wageningen University
The BSc Minor Economics and Policy focuses on economics and economic policy analysis relating to typical Wageningen issues, such as food, environment and rural development.
The economics and policies of these issues are discussed. Furthermore, the different economic instruments that are often used to formulate relevant policies, such as taxes, subsidies, quotas, tradable permit systems, etc., are reviewed. Provision of public goods and the role of the government therein are also important elements.
This minor is interesting for all students who want to broaden their knowledge on economics processes and policies. Students who choose this minor programme and have a BSc major in more technical or beta-oriented programmes, will be better geared for a future career in policy or at policy-oriented organisations.
