‘2015 World Energy Issues Monitor. Energy price volatility: the new normal’
Januari 2015, 101 pagina’s

Samenvatting
Energy is among the top strategic issues shaping the global agenda in 2015. The uncertainty and impact of energy and commodity price volatility has now established itself as the number-one issue for energy leaders worldwide. Emerging risks and the resulting need to redefine energy infrastructure resilience, changing market designs, evolving business models and shifting geopolitical conditions, result in a new energy landscape in a context of high uncertainty.
The ‘2015 World Energy Issues Monitor’ helps to define the world energy agenda and its evolution over time. It provides a high-level perception of what constitute issues of critical uncertainty, in contrast to those that require immediate action or act as a developing signal for the future. As such, it has developed into an essential tool in understanding the complex and uncertain environment within which energy leaders must operate and a tool through which decision makers can challenge their own assumptions on the key drivers within the energy landscape.
The 2015 edition is the culmination of a six-month study capturing the views of over 1,000 energy leaders including ministers, chief executives and the heads of the WEC’s national member committees covering nearly 80 countries. The report, which highlights strong regional variations, looks at the global energy agenda and analyses the trends and outlook in six world regions and over 25 countries.
