350 Action Reacts to Super Tuesday Results

National climate campaign 350 Action issued the following reactions to ongoing Super Tuesday results: “This movement has succeeded in pushing major candidates to adopt more progressive positions on climate than in any previous election,” said Yong Jung Cho, 350 Action Campaign Coordinator. “That momentum will only continue in the months ahead.”
“Clinton has picked up votes by moving to the left on key progressive issues, including climate change,” said Jason Kowalski, 350 Action Spokesperson. “In the past six months, she’s gone from ‘no comment’ on the Keystone XL pipeline to a commitment to ban all new fossil fuel development on public lands. That’s a sea change, a direct result of the climate movement’s growing ability to turn the tide in our direction. Over the coming months, we’ll continue to push all the candidates to stand up to the fossil fuel industry and fight for climate justice.” ….
