E.ON combines waste utilization with power generation in Stockholm

E.ON is setting standards in Stockholm for sustainable urban development with a state-of-the-art combination of waste recycling and energy generation. The company is building a thermal waste recycling facility with an installed capacity of 25 megawatts in northwest Stockholm for the production of electricity, heat and biogas together with a biogas and a combined heat and power (CHP) facility. A recycling plant of Sweden’s largest waste management operation, Ragn-Sells, adjoins the energy park. E.ON has invested approximately 250 million euros in the project overall.…. [Persbericht]
