On 8th December, the European Parliament’s environment committee will vote on its position on the reform of the EU Emissions Trading System (ETS). The vote will have a major influence on the future of this key tool to fight climate change. So far, the ETS has failed to make the polluting industries pick up the tab for the harm they cause.
