Siemens to supply turbines for the Valle de México II combined cycle power plant

Siemens will provide H-class power plant technology to Mexico yet again. The equipment will be installed in the new combined cycle power plant 298 CC Valle de México II. The natural-gas-fired power plant will have an installed capacity of 615 megawatts and will be located in the municipality of Acolman. The customer is a consortium consisting of Cobra Instalaciones y Servicios and Initec Energía from Spain, and Avanzia Instalaciones from Mexico that will build the plant on an EPC basis. The three companies belong to Spanish Construction and Services Group ACS. Commercial operation is scheduled for December 2017. …
