E.ON optimizing Pilkington Automotive facility in Aken on the Elbe/Saxony-Anhalt

Using a combination of technical, digital and financial solutions, E.ON has completed a new reference project in energy efficiency for industrial customers. E.ON has successfully lowered energy costs in building services by more than 40 percent at glass manufacturer Pilkington Automotive’s facility in Aken an der Elbe in Saxony-Anhalt. Pilkington’s production processes are now more efficient and the company can use its energy and production assets in a more flexible way. For Pilkington, this project was realized on a cost-neutral basis, since the measures taken by E.ON are refinanced entirely through the achieved reductions in energy costs. ….
