Siemens to install 54-megawatt onshore wind power plant in western Turkey

Siemens has been awarded an order for the Kinik onshore wind power plant in the Turkish province of Kinik, located 80 kilometers north of the city of Izmir. 17 direct drive wind turbines rated at 3.2 megawatts (MW) capacity each will be installed at the onshore project close to the coast of the Aegean Sea. Customer Esinti Enerji A.S. also consigned maintenance to Siemens in the framework of a 10-year service contract including advanced remote monitoring and diagnostics.
